MANCHESTER, NH - Episode 2 of Cat Chat has arrived!

This week, Charles McAdoo (TOR No. 7, MLB.com) joins Chris Jared on the second edition of Cat Chat to talk about the offseason, handling last year's trade deadline, movies, video games, TV shows and more!

One of a multitude of moves the Blue Jays made last summer, Toronto traded Isiah Kiner-Falefa and cash considerations to the Pittsburgh Pirates in exchange for 3B Charles McAdoo on July 30, 2024.

From August 10 through August 16, McAdoo made an early impression with a five-game hit streak that included his first double with the Fisher Cats, two home runs and five RBIs. At 22 years old, McAdoo joined the Toronto pool of prospects with experience playing at third base and in the outfield.

McAdoo began the 2024 season with the Greensboro Grasshoppers and hit a whopping .336 in 60 games behind a .976 OPS in the South Atlantic League, which helped him be named one of MiLB's 11 first-half MVPs in 2024. McAdoo received an anticipated promotion to Double-A Altoona, fellow Eastern League inhabitants, on June 22. McAdoo made quick work in Altoona and produced two home runs in his first two games with the Curve.

Prior to his pro ball days, McAdoo was a 13th Round selection by Pittsburgh in the 2023 MLB Draft out of San Jose State. Not only was San Jose State's baseball team the first offer Charles received, it would also be his last. Honoring a commitment to himself, McAdoo, who also excelled at football in high school, said he'd accept the first offer that came his way. He just wanted to get to work.

McAdoo is related to James Michael McAdoo (cousin) and Bob McAdoo (great uncle), who both won a pair of NBA Championships in their time in the league.
