Ortiz took the loss after yielding seven runs on eight hits over a season-high 5.1 innings of work. He walked three and struck out three, but each of the final five batters he faced reached base safely. Ortiz threw 64 of his 96 pitches for strikes and now owns a 6.31 ERA this season.
