The Dash (12-12) southpaw completed six innings for the third time this season, allowing three unearned runs on five hits while striking out four and walking one.
Meanwhile, Gomez shut down the Dash offense. The right-hander spun six shutout innings, allowing two hits and striking out a season-high nine batters while issuing one walk. Right-hander Anthony Bender worked three scoreless innings to finish the shutout for Wilmington.
After Monday's scheduled off day, Winston-Salem returns to BB&T Ballpark on Tuesday at 7 p.m. to begin a six-game homestand, which will feature a pair of three-game sets against the Lynchburg Hillcats and the Buies Creek Astros. Right-hander
