Michaud to broadcast on Orioles Radio Network

Longtime Tides broadcaster to call games in Baltimore

Tides radio broadcaster Pete Michaud will be filling in on the Orioles Radio Network this weekend, calling Baltimore's games vs. Houston on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. The games will be Michaud's first at the Major League level.

Michaud is in his 11th season as a broadcaster for the Tides. He joined the club full time in 2007 - Norfolk's first season as an Orioles affiliate. He's been honored three times by the Chesapeake Athletic Club as Hampton Roads' Most Outstanding Sports Broadcaster. In 2009 he won the prestigious Abe Goldblatt Award from the Norfolk Sports Club for Outstanding Local Sports Coverage. In addition to his Tides responsibilities, Michaud was selected to broadcast the 2015 Triple-A All-Star Game and has served as the longtime voice of the Norfolk Admirals hockey team, having spent over 22 years with the organization.
All 162 regular season games are broadcast on the Orioles Radio Network, which consists of 40 stations covering six states and the District of Columbia. In addition, members of the military stationed overseas have the opportunity to listen to Orioles games on the American Forces Radio Network.
The Tides open a four-game series in Pawtucket Thursday night at 7:05, with airtime on ESPN Radio 94.1 set for 6:50 pm. Pawtucket broadcaster Mike Monaco will fill in for Michaud on Tides broadcasts during the four-game series from McCoy Stadium.
