Harbor Park Policies

Fan Code of Conduct

To provide a welcoming experience for all, the Norfolk Tides have implemented a Fan Code of Conduct. Out of respect for fellow guests, players, coaches, and ballpark staff,

ALL GUESTS ARE PROHIBITED FROM:

· Trespassing on the playing field at any time;

· Interfering with baseballs that are in play;

· Throwing or tossing objects;

· Using foul, obscene or derogatory language (see below) or gestures;

· Misusing or overconsuming alcohol, including, underage consumption;

· Behaving in a manner that is disruptive, unruly, or abusive;

· Accessing areas of the ballpark without a proper ticket, pass, or credential;

· Misusing tickets, passes, or credentials in any way; or

· Bringing prohibited items into the ballpark.

Derogatory language is defined as offensive language concerning a person’s race, ethnicity, gender, religion, disability, age, sexual orientation, or national origin, and anyone using such language is subject to automatic ejection from the ballpark.

Violations of the Fan Code of Conduct will not be tolerated and may lead to ejection from the ballpark, a ban on attending future games, or other consequences. Guests who are found to have used derogatory language will be ejected from the ballpark.

Guests are encouraged to report violations of the Fan Code of Conduct to the nearest ballpark staff member. This can be done in person, at the Information Booth behind home plate on the concourse, directly with Security/Norfolk Police at the Ballpark or by calling our Front Office at (757) 622-2222.

APPROVED BAGS

Bags that are clear plastic, vinyl, or PVC that do not exceed 16 x 16 x 8 inches

Diaper Bags and Medical Bags are permitted, subject to search by ballpark security

Small non-clear clutch bags measuring 5” x 7” x 3/4” or smaller, with or without a handle or strap can be taken into the ballpark.

Prohibited Items

Guests are prohibited from bringing the following items into the ballpark:

· Containers larger than 16 x 16 x 8 inches, must be adhear to the above clear bag policy

· Beach Balls and Other Inflatables

· Glass Bottles

· Fireworks

· Firearms or Other Weapons

· Laser Devices and Pointers

· Skateboards and Rollerblades

· Toy Guns and Knives (including water guns)

· Sticks and Clubs

· Unmanned Aerial Vehicles

· Aerosol Cans

· Baseball Bats

· Outside Food and Drink (one sealed water bottle per person is permitted)

Additional Policies

Advance Ticket Sales: Tickets to future Tides games can be obtained at the Harbor Park Advance Ticket Window Monday-Friday from 10:00 am - 5:00 pm. When the team is home on Saturday, the box office is opens at 12 p.m. When the team is on the road on Saturday, the box office is closed. The ticket window is open on Sunday home games, starting at 11 am for 1:05 games and 12 p.m. for 4:05 games. For more info, click here.

Airhorns: The use of air horns inside Harbor Park is prohibited by local ordinance.

Alcohol Management: No alcoholic beverages may be brought into or removed from Harbor Park. Commonwealth of Virginia law prohibits the sale of alcoholic beverages to persons under the age of 21. Please note to the following policies:
• Patrons will be required to show proper proof of age when purchasing alcoholic beverages at Harbor Park.
• Alcohol will not be served after the first pitch of the 8th inning.
• The Norfolk Tides and Spectra Food Services reserve the right to deny the sale of alcoholic beverages to any patrons. For your safety, please do not attempt to drive if intoxicated. Please visit the Information Center for assistance.

Autographs: Fans are permitted to seek autographs from players along the railings along the field until 15 minutes prior to game time unless interfering with ticket holders in those sections. We request your cooperation in leaving the premises as dictated by security personnel.

Backpacks, Carryalls and Other Bags: For your safety, backpacks, large bags and coolers are prohibited at Harbor Park. Diaper Bags and medical bags are permitted but are subject to search.

Banners and Signs: Fans may bring banners and signs to Tides games. They must be in good taste and must not obstruct the view of anyone in the stands or interfere with the play of the game. Signs may not promote a business unless approved in advance.

Cameras: Fans are permitted to bring both still and video cameras into Harbor Park and shoot whatever they like as long as they are not interfering with other fans' enjoyment. Be advised that camera bags are no longer permitted and it remains illegal to sell or mass produce any pictures shot at Harbor Park without the consent of the Norfolk Tides Baseball Club.

Conduct: Fans using foul or abusive language or appearing to be intoxicated will be ejected from the premises. Fans who enter the playing field or obstruct play at any time will be ejected from the ballpark and subject to arrest.

Customer Service: The Information Center is located on the main concourse behind home plate. Prize winners, lost and found children or articles, and expressing suggestions and concerns will be handled from this location.

First Aid: The Patient First Medical Station is located on the concourse behind Section 208/210 on the first base side. Please report all injuries, accidents, or any illnesses requiring assistance to this location. Please do not leave Harbor Park without reporting injuries.

Foul Balls: Please be alert for balls that are batted or thrown into the stands. Do not chase foul balls in the stands or on the concourse. Types of nets that are used to collect or catch foul balls are prohibited. The Tides are not responsible for any injuries resulting from a ball batted or thrown into the stands. The Tides are not responsible for any injuries resulting from a bat leaving the field of play.

Gates Open: Fans may begin entering Harbor Park 65 minutes before scheduled game time unless previously announced otherwise.

Group Tickets: Groups of 20 or more can receive a special discount on tickets by booking in advance with the Tides office at (757) 622-2222, ext. 107. For more information, click here.

Handicap Seating: Harbor Park contains 250 handicap seats which are accessible throughout Harbor Park. In order to assure that the required number of seats can be obtained, the Tides request that you purchase them in advance of game day.

Parking: The city of Norfolk charges $6.00 per vehicle for home games at Harbor Park. The city of Norfolk reserves the right to raise that price at any time. Season-long parking passes can be purchased by calling (757) 622-2222. More details here.

Rain Checks: In the event a game is postponed due to inclement weather or any other circumstance before it is officially completed (5 innings or 4-1/2 if the Tides are winning), the Tides will exchange the rain check portion of your ticket for the best available ticket to any future non-restricted regular season home game. This exchange can be made at the Tides ticket office during normal business hours or at a ticket booth when Harbor Park opens for games. There are no cash refunds. Restrooms: Are located throughout the concourse and in the picnic area. All Rest Rooms are ADA accessible and are equipped with Diaper Changing Stations. 'Family' Rest Rooms are located on the 3rd Base concourse for individuals needing assistance.

Rip Tide & Triton: Rip or Triton can be booked for your special occasion or charity function. Please call the Community Relations Department at (757) 622-2222 Ext 121. Anyone abusing Rip or Triton and their costumes will be ejected from Harbor Park. Click here for more information on the Tides mascots.

Security: Uniformed security officers are stationed throughout the ballpark, as well as parking areas. Please notify them of any problems you encounter requiring their attention while attending a game. (see Fan Code of Conduct above)

Smoking Areas: Smoking, including E-cigarettes and vaping, are prohibited in the seating areas, restrooms and on the concourse at Harbor Park. Smoking, including E-cigarettes and vaping, are only allowed on designated ramps and balconies.

Tailgating: With the limited amount of parking available, no one may use parking spaces for the purpose of congregation, eating, etc. Fans may get together on the grassy areas adjacent to Lot C or other similar grassy areas to consume prepared foods. By state law, no alcohol may be consumed in any public area such as the parking lots. By city ordinance, no cooking is allowed in the stadium parking lots.

Ticket Policy: Children under the age of two (2) do not require a ticket for entry to the ballpark. For all children age two (2) and over a ticket is required for entry.
