Woodbridge, VA- The Potomac Nationals are excited to announce a jam-packed Super Saturday, August 19th, which will feature a Doc Gooden autograph appearance and an Anthony Rendon "Real Electric Hair" Bobblehead Giveaway to the first 1,250 fans through the gates at The Pfitz!
Dr. K will be in the house to meet with the P-Nats' faithful pre-game and during the 6:35pm contest against the Winston-Salem Dash (Chicago White Sox).

Gates open at 5:00pm for the game. The line for Doc Gooden autographs will start as soon as gates open.
Gooden will be available to sign free autographs and take pictures with fans during the first signing session from approximately 5:15pm to 6:00pm.
The three-time World Series champion will take the field to throw out a ceremonial pitch prior to the matchup with the Dash. Gooden will return to sign autographs for one final session from 6:30pm to 8:00pm.
The electric arm of the New York Mets and New York Yankees will sign one autographed item per person, while 8x10 photographs of Gooden will be available for purchase at the signing table. Fans are encouraged to bring their own memorabilia for Gooden to sign.
As a member of the Lynchburg Mets' starting pitching staff in 1983, Gooden set a Carolina League single-season strikeout record with 300 K's that still stands today. Gooden took Major League Baseball by storm as a 19-year-old phenom in 1984. That season, "Doc" went 17-9 for the New York Mets, earned an All-Star selection, and won the National League Rookie of the Year Award.
The four-time All-Star played for five teams over his 16-year career, 11 of which were played with the New York Mets. He also tossed a no-hitter against the Seattle Mariners as a member of the New York Yankees.
The Gooden appearance is coupled with an Anthony Rendon "Real Electric Hair" Bobblehead giveaway to the first 1,250 fans in attendance at Pfitzner Stadium. The bobblehead giveaway is sponsored by Burke & Herbert Bank!
The Rendon bobblehead stems from the award-winning Jayson Werth "Bobble Beard." Just like the Bobble Beard, the Rendon bobble features real hair. Rendon's luscious locks were on full display on a very humid day back in the Nation's Capital back in 2016. The P-Nats immortalized the snapshot with a one-of-a-kind bobblehead!
Rendon donned The Red, White & Blue during parts of two seasons in his six-year professional career. The Nationals' third baseman appeared with the P-Nats in 2012 on his way up to the show. He then returned in 2015 for a six-game rehab appearance. Rendon is having a career year in 2017, as he has hit .300 for the Nationals with 21 home runs and 74 RBIs in 105 games.
Make sure to get to the game early, as there are only 1,250 of these unique bobbles available. Tickets are still available to the game. Reserve your seat today at potomacnationals.com, call the P-Nats at 703-590-2311 ext. 225 or 229, or visit us at the Extreme Custom Collision Ticket Office outside the gates of The Pfitz!
Super Saturday is complete with a pregame Flying Dog Brewery Beer Tasting located down the right-field line by P-Nats Grill.
Sentara OrthoJoint Center will be on hand as well promoting the "Get Back in the Game" initiative.
Saturday night is also the final Scout Night of 2017. Due to the rain out of the previous Scout Night, all who were supposed to attend the previous Scout Night will gain admittance to the final Scout celebration of the season. The final Scout Night is presented by Virginia Virtual Academy!
For any scout troops still interested in spending a night at The Pfitz, contact Potomac Nationals Group Sales Executives Alec Manriquez and Taylor Cockerille at 703-590-2311. Spots are still available for the overnight experience at Pfitzner Stadium.
Super Saturday concludes with a fantastic fireworks display presented by WTOP. Make sure to catch the second-to-last fireworks extravaganza of the season!
Once the fireworks conclude and the lights return to full strength, kids can run the bases like their favorite players. Kids run the bases courtesy of Glory Days Grill. The run will begin from the first base gate, where kids will run from first to third and meet their parents at the third base gate.
Join the P-Nats for a night of electrifying fun! Shock Value: 10/10!
