Leading up to the unveiling of the rejuvenated Uncle Slam on Saturday, February 16th at Wegmans, the Potomac Nationals will be chronicling Slam's whereabouts in Northern Virginia this week with help from tips provided by P-Nats official sponsors and community partners.
Monday morning, Uncle Slam was spotted pumping iron at the Potomac Nationals' Official Gym, Gold's Gym Lake Ridge, at 12550 Dillingham Square in Woodbridge.
Since a front office fire broke out in late June of 2012, Uncle Slam has been rehabilitating his injuries by working out at Gold's Gym Lake Ridge, which has been instrumental in helping Slam regain his strength and return for the 2013 season better than ever.
"Gold's Gym Lake Ridge has provided a full spectrum of cardio and strength training options for Uncle Slam and we are very pleased with the progress he has made since being sidelined. With a very aggressive rehab program, P-Nats fans can feel confident that Uncle Slam will be back like never before," says Nationals Director of Media Relations, Bryan Holland.
Be sure to catch Uncle Slam's 2013 debut on Opening Night, April 5th as the P-Nats host the defending Carolina League Champion Lynchburg Hillcats (Atlanta Braves) at 7:05pm.
