Salem, VA---The Potomac Nationals and Salem Red Sox were once again rained out at Salem Memorial Ballpark due to consistent rainfall and wet grounds.
Another doubleheader has been scheduled for Sunday afternoon to begin at 12:05pm.
Both contests are set for seven innings.
The Nationals plan again to send LHP Hector Silvestre (1-0, 3.55) and RHP Dakota Bacus (4-6, 4.49) to the mound in Games One and Two, respectively, and the Red Sox will have RHP Joe Gunkel (2-4, 3.83) then RHP Pat Light (5-5, 4.99) towing the rubber.
Since one game scheduled to be played in the Roanoke Valley will not be played due to the rainfall that began yesterday and has now wiped out two days of scheduled contests in Salem, an additional game will be played when Potomac entertains Salem from Tuesday, August 12th through Thursday, August 14th.
The date of that extra game between Potomac and Salem which will create a twin bill at Pfitzner Stadium has not yet been announced.
