Today's (Sunday's) scheduled International League game between the host Pawtucket Red Sox and the Rochester Red Wings at McCoy Stadium has been postponed due to rain and wet grounds that will be unplayable due to McCoy Stadium's drainage system.
The PawSox and Red Wings will play a single-admission make-up doubleheader next month when Rochester returns to McCoy for a series from June 16-18. The doubleheader will be Saturday, June 17 at 4:35 pm. The nightcap will still be televised on MyRITV, which will come on the air at 6 p.m. as scheduled. Fireworks set to a medley of Beatles songs will follow the doubleheader.
Pawtucket has already suffered seven postponements this season (3 at home and 4 on the road). They have played four doubleheaders and now have four more on the schedule.
Fans holding field box seats, reserved box seat tickets or general admission tickets for Sunday (without a specific rainout date printed on them) can trade those in for any remaining regular-season game at McCoy based on availability.
