The Maine Whoopie Pies, presented by Trademark Federal Credit Union, will take the field on Friday, June 10th at 6:00 PM against the Hartford Yard Goats. The name change is in celebration of the official state treat of Maine: the whoopie pie! The Maine Whoopie Pies have partnered with Wicked Whoopies and the Maine Whoopie Pie Festival, which takes place at the Piscataquis Valley Fairgrounds in Dover-Foxcroft, Maine. To bring the night to life, the team will wear specialty hats and jerseys, featuring the Maine Whoopie Pies logo. And of course, there will be plenty of whoopie pies from Wicked Whoopies for fans to enjoy. More details will be announced.

To kick-off National Hot Dog Month and the Fourth of July weekend, the Sea Dogs will transform into the Maine Red Snappers on Friday, July 1st at 6:00 PM against the New Hampshire Fisher Cats. The name change pays homage to Maine’s iconic red hot dog. Known for their bright red color and snap from the natural casing, Maine’s red snapper hot dogs are traditionally served in a split top New England style hot dog bun. The red hot dogs have been the go-to hot dog for many Mainers for over 100 years. As part of the night, the team will wear specially designed Red Snapper jerseys and hats. The game will feature red snapper/ hot dog-themed promotions. Of course, there will be plenty of red snappers for fans to enjoy at the game.

“Our one-game rebrands have been some of the most popular games of the season and we’re excited to have them return in 2022 along with a new identity that we will be unveiling soon,” stated Sea Dogs Director of Promotions Allison Casiles. “These games give us a great opportunity to showcase some of the unique items that add to the local flavor of Maine.”

The Sea Dogs have something cooking for the Saturday, August 13th game, where the Sea Dogs will take the field under a new alternate identity. The new identity is expected to be announced around February.
