Portland Sea Dogs manager Chad Epperson became the winningest manager in team history on August 23rd after the Sea Dogs defeated the Binghamton Rumble Ponies 8-2 at Delta Dental Park, earning his 283rd career win. 2. Immaculate Inning

Hayden Mullins spun an immaculate inning on July 1st in an 11-6 extra innings win over the New Hampshire Fisher Cats. It was the first immaculate inning since David Sandlin’s on July 28, 2024 in Somerset.

3. No Hitter

RHP David Sandlin, RHP Christopher Troye and RHP Jonathan Brand tossed a combined no-hitter on June 22 at Delta Dental Park en route to a 10-0 victory over the Akron RubberDucks. Sea Dogs RHP David Sandlin (4-3, 3.90 ERA) received the win, tossing six scoreless innings while tying his season-high strikeout total of nine. RHP Christopher Troye added two innings of shutout ball in relief. LHP Jonathan Brand closed the game, hurling one inning while tallying two strikeouts. The last time the Portland Sea Dogs threw a combined no-hitter was back on July 23, 2023 against the New Hampshire Fisher Cats (Gonzalez, Cellucci, Guerrero). More>>

4. Caden Rose Diving Play

After channelling his inner Superman, outfielder Caden Rose was the top play on ESPN’s SportsCenter on July 31st.

5. Snowpening Day Walk Off

Despite the snow on Opening Day, the Sea Dogs went on to walk off for a 2-1 win over the New Hampshire Fisher Cats. Tied 1-1 heading into the bottom of the tenth inning, Corey Rosier was the runner placed at second base. He advanced to third on a sacrifice bunt by Mikey Romero. Rosier scored the winning run on a RBI single to right field by Max Ferguson and walked it off as the snow continued to fall. More>>

6. "Glitch in the Matrix"

The Sea Dogs and Hartford Yard Goats pulled off identical 5-6-3 putouts in the same inning on the same count with the same number of outs on April 18th at Dunkin’ Park. More>>

7. The Password is WALKOFF

Jhostynxon Garcia provided the walk-off heroics in back-to-back games for the Sea Dogs on May 10th, then again on May 11th against the Chesapeake Baysox. On May 10th, with an 0-2 count and no outs in the bottom of the ninth inning, Garcia blasted the walk-off home run to right field. It was his second homer of the season and second hit of the night. The next day, in the bottom of the tenth inning, Max Ferguson hit a leadoff single, moving Ahbram Liendo, the runner placed at second base, to third. Garcia then laced a two-run single down the left field line, winning the game for Portland, 6-5. More>>

8. "Beaned" for a Cause

Sea Dogs fans donated over 1,000 cans of food to Wayside Food Programs during one of Portland’s rebrand nights as the Maine Bean Suppahs. Holding true to the challenge of raising over 1,000 cans of food, General Manager Jesse Scallion had roughly three gallons of beans dumped on him at home plate after the game was over.

9. Max Ferguson Pinch-Hit Grand Slam

On July 29th, the Sea Dogs were down 3-0 in the seventh inning when Max Ferguson delivered a pinch-hit grand slam, leading the Sea Dogs to a 4-3 win over the Altoona Curve. It was the first career grand slam for Ferguson. More>>

10. Red Sox Top Prospect Hits First Double-A Home Run

Boston’s No. 1 prospect Franklin Arias blasted his first homer with the Sea Dogs on September 4 in a 13-2 victory over the Erie SeaWolves. In 10 games with Portland, Arias hit .261 with two doubles, two home runs and eight RBI.
