Woodbridge, VA- In a back and forth battle between the Potomac Nationals (9-16, 46-46) and the Frederick Keys (7-19, 42-53), The P-Nats erased a 7-2 deficit to take the series finale 10-7. Monday's win is the biggest comeback victory of the season for The Red, White, & Blue.

Potomac racked up 16 hits with a lineup that featured MLB rehab assignment 1B Ryan Zimmerman . Batting third and playing first base, Zimmerman went 2-2 with a double, single, walk, three runs scored and one run driven in.

It was Frederick's offense that struck first, however, with RF T.J. Nichting lifting a sacrifice fly to take a 1-0 lead. Potomac responded by taking a 2-1 lead in the bottom half of the first inning. After Frederick starter Zac Lowther (ND) loaded the bases, LF Nick Banks  connected on an RBI double to center, scoring Potomac's first two runs.

Frederick picked up where they left off in the top of the second, this time with a six-run frame against Potomac RHP Kyle Johnston  (ND). The first seven Keys batters reached against the righty on five hits, an walk and an error. Johnston was able to get out of the inning without any further damage, thanks to one of the three double plays he induced in his three innings of work.

Trailing 7-2, the comeback started for Potomac in the bottom of the second. CF Jack Sundberg  led off with a solo home run (2) and SS Luis Garcia  followed with a single. Consecutive run-scoring hits from Zimmerman and 3B Ian Sagdal made it a 7-5 game after two.

As both teams turned to the bullpen, the scoring for Potomac continued in the fourth inning. Zimmerman led off with a single, advanced to third on a Sagdal single, and scored on a sacrifice fly from RF Rhett Wiseman

C Jakson Reetz  tied the game with a solo home run (4) in the fifth and capped off the day with a two-run home run (5) in the sixth. Before Reetz's second home run, Banks gave The P-Nats the lead with an RBI single.

Reetz picked up three hits for the second consecutive start, hitting a single in the third along with his two home runs.

The bullpen kept the Frederick offense at rest for the final six innings, starting with RHP Carlos Acevedo  (W, 1-1). In his third appearance with The P-Nats, Acevedo spanned three innings, allowing just two hits without allowing a run en route to his first win at the Advanced-A level.

After LHP Taylor Guilbeau  struck out three in his two scoreless innings, RHP Jeremy McKinney  (SV, 1) entered in the ninth and worked a 1-2-3 frame to secure the win for Potomac.

After splitting a four-game series with the Frederick Keys, the Potomac Nationals have an off day on Tuesday. The P-Nats return on Wednesday for the start of a three game series against the Myrtle Beach Pelicans. Wednesday's game starts a six game road trip against Myrtle Beach and the Salem Red Sox. While Potomac has not announced a starter for Wednesday, they will be facing Myrtle Beach RHP Erich Uelmen (3-1, 3.31).

First pitch at TicketReturn.com Field on Wednesday is set for 7:05pm. The Potomac broadcast will get underway at 6:50pm with the P-Nats Leadoff Show. You can listen to the Potomac broadcast at potomacnationals.com, at http://bit.ly/P-NatsBroadcast, or on the TuneIn Radio App.
