Moosic, Pa. (March 8, 2018) - The Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders, Triple-A affiliate of the New York Yankees, will put all single-game tickets on sale March 17. This marks the first chance to purchase tickets to any individual game during the 2018 season, including Opening Day, July 4 and any of the top promotional nights during the year.

To celebrate, the RailRiders are offering a variety of ticket discounts at PNC Field on March 17. Beginning at 10 a.m., when tickets go on sale at the box office, fans will be given the chance to buy Opening Day tickets at a massive discount. From 10 a.m. until 11 a.m., Opening Day tickets will be $1.00. At 11 a.m., that price rises to $2.00. Opening Day tickets purchased from noon through 1 p.m. will be $3.00 and will be sold between 1 and 2 p.m. for $4.00. In addition, season tickets will also be available at a discount between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. Fans can walk the stadium and select from seats available through season tickets. Each seat will come with an unknown discount that will be revealed before the final transaction of the purchase, ranging from five to 25 percent off the ticket package price.

On Tuesday, June 19, Jose Canseco will make an guest appearance at PNC Field and participate in a home run derby contest prior to the RailRiders game against Lehigh Valley. Fans purchasing Opening Day and season tickets in person at PNC Field on March 17 will be entered into a drawing for a chance to participate in the home run derby. Entries into the home run derby drawing are limited to one per transaction.

"As Spring Training marks the return of baseball, fans know the RailRiders season is not far off," said Bob McLane, the team's Vice President of Ticket Sales. "We are excited to get that much closer the 2018 season. Tickets, especially for Opening Day at that deeply discounted price, are going to go quickly and we certainly hope to surpass last year's crowd."  

Single-game tickets will also be on sale online beginning at 10 a.m. on March 17, but the Opening Day and season ticket discounts are only available in person at PNC Field.

Legends Concessions will be open during the event, with traditional Irish fare available for purchase. They will be serving Guinness Irish stew, corned beef sandwiches and a variety of themed side dishes. Legends will also have a cash bar with beer, Bloody Marys and mimosas. The RailRiders will also have March Madness college basketball games on the video board beginning at noon and fans in attendance can shoot hoops for merchandise savings good throughout the course of the season.

The 2018 promotional schedule includes 12 fireworks shows, seven bobblehead nights and 12 other giveaways during the course of the season. Opening Day is scheduled for Friday, April 6, against the Syracuse Chiefs. The RailRiders are also at home July 4, which will serve as the team's Stand Up To Cancer Night this season.

The first bobblehead honors pitcher Chance Adams on May the Fourth and will be followed by an Aaron Judge Rookie of the Year bobble on May 26. Two SWB legends, Shelley Duncan and Shane Victorino, will have bobblehead nights on June 26 and July 13, respectively. The club will pay tribute via bobbleheads to the movie "The Sandlot" on July 28, the television show "Game of Thrones" on August 4 and NEPA's favorite paper company in "The Office," on September 1. 

Appearances and dates for the Legends Series, presented by Nasser Limousine and in conjunction with Steiner Sports, will be announced next week.
