Rain Washes Away 'Gades and Spinners

Labor Day Doubleheader Set for Tomorrow
September 3, 2017

[Empty Body]

LOWELL, MA-The first game of a three-game series between the Hudson Valley Renegades and Lowell Spinners was postponed due to rain Sunday afternoon at LeLacheur Park. It is the second time the Renegades have been rained out at Lowell this season. It's also the fifth postponement for Hudson Valley in 2017; all of them have come on the road.
The two teams will now square off in a doubleheader tomorrow beginning at 12:35. Both games will be seven innings long. Game one will feature southpaw Brendan McKay (0-0, 1.80 ERA) on the hill for the Renegades against right-hander Jake Thompson of the Spinners (0-3, 3.86 ERA). Game two will see righty Austin Franklin (3-2, 2.24 ERA) take the mound for Hudson Valley against fellow righty Tanner Houck (0-2, 3.26 ERA) of Lowell.
The Renegades return home on Wednesday to take on the Aberdeen Ironbirds in a two-game series, which will be the final homestand of the regular season. First-pitch for both of those games is set for 6:35. Tickets can be purchased online at hvrenegades.com or by calling the ticket office at 845-838-0094.
