Innovative Field Cashless Policy Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
Why is Innovative Field going cashless?
Answer: The stadium is transitioning to a cashless environment to improve speed and efficiency during transactions, reduce the handling of cash, and enhance safety for both fans and staff. This decision follows the practices of the majority of MLB and Triple-A teams.
While we understand this change may be challenging for some, it’s designed to create a faster, more streamlined experience for everyone at the ballpark. We’ve added extra points of sale across the stadium to ensure this operates as smoothly as possible.
What areas are going cashless?
Answer: All areas and transactions at Innovative Field are now cashless - this includes but is not limited to parking, concessions, suite level, and Team Store.
What if I don’t have a credit or debit card, or don’t want to use one?
Answer: If you only have cash, it can be exchanged for Digital Diamond Dollars at the Ticket Office. These digital credits can be used for purchases at Innovative Field parking areas, concessions, and merchandise stands at Innovative Field. Apple Pay and Google Pay can also be used in these locations. Digital Diamond Dollars cannot be used to purchase tickets.
There will also be a reverse ATM near the Ticket Office, inside the Main Gates, where fans can redeem cash for a Mastercard debit card.
For fans without credit/ debit cards or digital banking apps, we recommend planning ahead to exchange cash at the Ticket Office or the reverse ATM.
Will you have a reverse ATM?
Answer: Yes, we will have a reverse ATM for fans with cash. This reverse ATM will allow fans to exchange cash for a Mastercard debit card, which can then be used just like a normal card - at the ballpark or anywhere else. This card will be reloadable. The reverse ATM will be located near the Ticket Office inside the Main Gates.
Will there be a fee to use the reverse ATM?
Answer: Yes, there will be a $1 card fee for Mastercard debit.
What will Digital Diamond Dollars look like?
Answer: Digital Diamond Dollars will be in the form of a printed barcode item, that holds value and maintains your balance.

Can I use a credit or debit card to load my Digital Diamond Dollars balance?

What happens if I don’t use all of my Digital Diamond Dollars?
Answer: Any remaining Digital Diamond Dollar value can be used during future visits to the stadium through the current season. However, the balance is non-refundable. We recommend fans try to use up their balance during their visit. All Digital Diamond Dollars must be used prior to October 31, 2025.
What if people from the same group want to buy things from different locations?
Answer: We can provide you with multiple Digital Diamond Dollars that the individuals in your group can then take advantage of anywhere in the ballpark.
How do you plan to accommodate kids, seniors, or individuals with disabilities who don’t have cards?
Answer: We recognize the challenges this may present for school groups, children, seniors, and those who rely on cash. We’ve added the option to exchange cash for Digital Diamond Dollars, which can be used just like cash throughout the ballpark. We encourage families and organizations bringing groups to plan ahead and ensure their students or members are prepared with digital payment options.
For three specific events during the 2025 season - Education Day, Careers in Sports Day, and Camp Day - that involve large groups of this kind, there will be certain concession stands that accept cash.
Can I use my EBT card?
Answer: No, we do not accept EBT cards.
Will prices increase due to credit card fees?
Answer: We understand concerns about price increases. While the cost of handling digital transactions, such as credit card fees, does exist, the goal of going cashless is to streamline operations and reduce costs long term. However, we are monitoring pricing closely and remain highly committed to keeping the fan experience affordable and family-friendly.
Will tipping be required?
Answer: Tipping at Innovative Field will never be required or expected. You may tip entirely at your discretion.
What if I want to tip an employee?
Tipping options will be available through digital payment methods. We understand that some fans prefer to tip in cash, but digital tipping will be encouraged for ease of use. Only certain concession stands - beer/ bar service stands, and those staffed by nonprofit groups - will accept tips. If preferred you may still provide a cash tip.
Will Conehead still work the games? How will I pay him?
Answer: The legendary Conehead is familiar with cashless payment environments and is ready to assist you. All transactions with Conehead will be cashless. You may tip him through digital payment methods, or may also tip with cash if you prefer. He will still never serve you a warm beer.
What if I experience issues with a payment method inside the stadium?
Answer: If you encounter any issues, please speak to a staff member or visit our Guest Services booth and we’ll do our best to assist you in resolving payment problems quickly.
