Kohl Stewart turned in his best start of the season at Triple-A, but the offense didn't provide any help as the Wings were blanked by the Scranton/WB RailRiders, 4-0, Saturday night in Moosic, PA.

Kohl Stewart turned in his best start of the season at Triple-A, but the offense didn't provide any help as the Wings were blanked by the Scranton/WB RailRiders, 4-0, Saturday night in Moosic, PA.

Stewart - after allowing five runs in each of his first two starts with Rochester this year - allowed just one run on seven hits and two walks over six innings.
The lone run off Stewart came off the bat of Mike Ford who hit a solo homer in the second inning.
The best chance the Wings had to break through on the scoreboard came in the 6th inning when Jordan Pacheco led off with a double. However, he wouldn't move from there as a pop out and two strikeouts ended the threat.
The RailRiders broke the game open in the bottom of the eighth scoring three runs off Tyler Duffey.
Rochester (43-45) got back-to-back walks with two outs in the 9th, but Jon Kemmer struck out to end the threat and the game.
Kennys Varags, Gregorio Petit, Taylor Motter and Pacheco collected the four hits for the Wings who lost for the first time since the All-Star break.
Nick Gordon left the game in the middle of his at-bat in the 6th inning with an apparent hand injury.
The Wings and RailRiders wrap up their four-game weekend set on Sunday at 1:05 pm. The rehabbing Ervin Santana will make the start for the Wings who can win the series with a victory.
