It was a simple matter of "glovework" on Thursday night in Frisco. The RoughRiders made key plays and, on this night, the RockHounds didn't. Frisco erased a 4-0 deficit, scoring both the go-ahead and eventual game-winning runs on errors, to defeat the 'Hounds, 6-5.

The RockHounds got on the board early on a three-run wind-aided home run off the bat of Viosergy Rosa in the top of the first.
The 'Hounds extended the lead in the fifth when B.J. Boyd tripled and scored on a line drive sacrifice fly from Yairo Muñoz . The play was also an omen as Frisco center fielder Scott Heineman's nice grab limited Munoz's drive to a sac fly rather than an extra-base hit.
Frisco manufactured three runs against starter Corey Walter in the fifth, trimming the lead to 4-3 on four singles, a walk, a stolen base and a wild pitch on which a run scored.
In the sixth, Jose Cardona led off with a single and stole second. With one out, Brandon Mann relieved Walter and surrendered a game-tying RBI double to left field by Juremi Profar. Profar then scored the go-ahead run when Richie Martin uncharacteristically misplayed a ground ball to shortstop, giving Frisco a 5-4 advantage.
The Riders scored what would become the game-winning run in the seventh. Isiah Kiner-Falefa doubled to left, went to third on a wild pitch, and scored when B.J. Boyd overran a shallow fly ball to center.
Frisco, meanwhile, played outstanding "D," with Luke Tendler robbing Tyler Marincov of a potential RBI double in the gap to right-center with a diving catch in the seventh. In the ninth, Heineman contributed his second "gem," again turning a drive off Munoz's bat into a sac fly rather than an extra-base hit. The play in the ninth, in all likelihood, prevented the tying run from scoring, as the 'Hounds had opened the inning with back-to-back walks and had two on with one out when Heineman made the catch.
Quick Notes:
The RockHounds finished their eight-game road trip with a 3-5 mark, dropping three of four to the RoughRiders in the Metroplex after splitting a four-game set at Corpus Christi.
The 'Hounds are two games behind San Antonio in the Texas League South as the clubs prepare to open a four-game series at Security Bank Ballpark. Corpus Christi defeated the Missions, 6-1 on Thursday night at Nelson Wolff Stadium, handing San Antonio just its fourth loss in 18 games. The Hooks are now within four games of the top spot and Frisco moves to five games back.
Entering Tuesday's game, the 'Hounds had scored just six runs over the first five games of the road trip … had been shutout both Sunday at Corpus Christi and Monday at Frisco … and had not scored a run in 24.1 innings. In the last three games at Frisco, the club scored 19 runs on 29 hits, including seven home runs.
Viosergy Rosa's first-inning home run pushed his on-base streak to 19 games (25-for-69, .362 with a .457 on-base percentage). Rosa has also hit in 14 of his last 16 games (22-for-59, .372) with three home runs and 12 RBI.
Jake Sanchez was activated from the disabled list and made his first appearance since being struck by a line drive against San Antonio at Security Bank Ballpark on April 23. He pitched a scoreless ninth inning, allowing one hit with one strikeout. For the season, Sanchez has a 1.29 ERA in eight appearances. In seven innings, he has allowed just three hits and two walks while striking out 12.
The RockHounds now return home for a very quick four-game series, hosting the San Antonio in a series that, despite the calendar still reading "May," is a very significant four-game set.
As the 70-game first half passed its halfway mark, San Antonio has gone on tremendous stretch: the Missions are 13-6 in their last 18 games. The four-game set between the RockHounds and Missions is also the end of 32 consecutive games of play within the division and will be followed by a 12-game stretch of North versus South.
The RockHounds and San Antonio meet on Friday (a special edition "Thirsty" Friday) and Saturday evenings at 7:00 p.m. each night, followed by a pair of day games - Sunday afternoon at 2:00 p.m. and Monday morning at 11:00 a.m.
To open this homestand, the RockHounds welcome Pat O'Conner, Minor League Baseball President & Chief Executive Officer and Texas League President Tim Purpura to Security Bank Ballpark. Mr. O'Conner's visit is to present RockHounds pitcher James Naile  with his 2016 Minor League Rawlings Gold Glove Award, while Mr. Purpura makes his first "official" visit since becoming the league's new president in March (Tim was among our special guests at the annual West Texas Sports Banquet & Memorabilia Auction in February).
