ERIE, Pa--- Altoona snapped their seven game losing streak to beat the SeaWolves 4-1 Monday at UPMC Park.
Altoona scored in the fourth inning to give them their first lead in the series. Edwin Espinal launched a home run to left field that brought in two runs for the Curve on Matt Crouse.
Pablo Reyes knocked in two more runs on a double in the fifth inning to give Altoona a 4-0 lead.
Erie found a run in the sixth inning thanks to an RBI single from Dominic Ficociello. It was the only run allowed by the starter Austin Coley, and it made the score 4-1 headed to the seventh. 
Erie failed to score another run in the game after Tate Scioneaux and Montana DuRapau shut down the SeaWolves out of the bullpen to win it for the Curve 4-1.
Matt Crouse (4-2) fell in his return to Erie while Austin Coley (2-2) earned the win for Altoona. DuRapau accumulated his 12th save on the season.
Erie heads on the road for six games until the All-Star break, stopping in Richmond first for a three game set. Beau Burrows (2-2, 6.56 ERA) will start for Erie in the series opener Tuesday against the Flying Squirrels' RHP Dan Slania (1-1, 1.93 ERA) at 6:35 PM.
