The Shuckers and M-Braves had to endure another rain delay on Sunday which last ed 48 minutes.

Recently promoted outfielder Troy Stokes Jr. continued to hit the ball well, starting the scoring with a first-inning home run to put the Shuckers up 1-0. The left fielder would later hit a go-ahead double in the fifth, marking four RBI in the past two games.

Hiram Burgos (W, 2-0) earned his first quality start of the season for the Shuckers, settling down after a rocky start to complete 6.0 innings of three-run ball. The righty allowed single runs in each of the first three innings but faced the minimum in his final three frames.

In the fourth, RBI singles from Dustin DeMuth and Jacob Nottingham tied the game 3-3. The Shuckers batted eight times in the fifth, getting doubles from Stokes and Clint Coulter and a single from Javier Betancourt to take a 6-3 lead. Coulter reached base safely in his final four plate appearances on Sunday and was 2-for-3 with the double, two runs and an RBI.
