Years with the Patriots: 2015 - present (Entering 7th season)
Schwartz is entering his seventh season with the Somerset Patriots and his fifth as the team’s lead radio broadcaster. His broadcasts can be heard on the Voice of Central Jersey, 1450 WCTC-AM, and on MiLB.tv. He previously worked as the lead broadcaster for the Keene Swamp Bats (NECBL) in 2012 and the High-A Charlotte Stone Crabs (Florida State League) in 2013 before joining the Long Island Ducks as a broadcast assistant in 2014. In addition to his broadcast roles, the Quinnipiac University graduate also works as the team’s primary video producer, assists in all media relations and communications for the team and is responsible for the sales of marketing partnerships and ticket packages.
In May of 2019, a video of Schwartz catching a foul ball while simultaneously providing play-by-play commentary of the catch went viral. The video was featured on national TV programs including ESPN’s SportsCenter, along with ABC’s Late Night with Jimmy Kimmel. It received multiple millions of views online and was picked up by blogs, prominent websites, and local affiliates around the country. A t-shirt campaign followed featuring the phrase “Boy am I impressive” that generated thousands of dollars for local charities.
