Saturday's game postponed, Fireworks moved to Sunday, doubleheader set for Monday

Springfield, MO - For the safety of fans and players, Saturday's scheduled game between the Springfield Cardinals and the San Antonio Missions at Hammons Field has been postponed due to impending weather. Tonight's game will be made up as part of a doubleheader on Monday, June 30 with two 7 inning games.

Downtown venues with Fireworks at the Field activities will remain open this evening and the large fireworks extravaganza will take place after the Sunday, June 29 game at Hammons Field. First Pitch on Sunday is set for 6:10pm, with gates opening at 5:10pm.

Tickets from the rained out June 28th game against the San Antonio Missions may be exchanged for any remaining regular season game during the 2014 season. Tickets must be mailed or presented in person to the Cardinals Ticket Office, located at Gate 1 at Hammons Field, at anytime during the remainder of the 2014 season. Complimentary tickets are not exchangeable.

The brand-new Promo Seats Package includes one Diamond Box Ticket for a game featuring a Promotional Item and guarantees that you receive one of that night's Promotional Items, plus a portion of the ticket sales will benefit the Hamels Foundation Cardinals Youth Initiative to provide tickets for area youth and non-profit organizations.

Joe Kelly "Standoff" Champion Bobbleheads, Bonus Fireworks and more coming up

Springfield continues the homestand on Sunday with the Cline Dental Joe Kelly "Standoff" Champion Bobblehead Giveaway (2,500), Hiland Dairy Ice Cream Sunday and The Track Family Fun Parks Kids Race the Bases on Sunday, June 29 at 6:10pm. The big Fireworks Extravaganza from Saturday's rainout will also take place after Sunday's game.

The homestand will wrap up on Monday with a doubleheader, feturing two seven-inning games. Monday will also feature AM Pyrotechnics Bonus Fireworks featuring Fan's Vote Music and a Specialty Cap Auction to benefit Horses of Hope on Monday, June 30 at 7:10pm.
