SPRINGDALE, Ark. -- Cardinals RHP Anthony Shew and Naturals RHP Conner Greene dueled back and forth, as the Northwest Arkansas (7-9) snuck past the Springfield (5-11) for a 1-0 win.

MOMENTS THAT MATTERED:
-After RHP Anthony Shew had retired 10 batters in a row, the Naturals plated the lone run of the game in the bottom of the 5th. With two on and two down, DH Anderson Miller pulled an RBI single through the right side, scoring 1B Samir Dueñez for the 1-0 lead.

The Cardinals threatened against Greene with baserunners in five of his 6.0 innings, but stranded seven in the scoreless outing for the former Cardinal.

NOTABLES:
-1B Evan Mendoza went 2x4 with a double, and has hit safely in eight of his last 10 games.

-C José Godoy laced a base hit in a 1x3 line, hitting safely in five of his last six games.

-LHP Jacob Patterson struck out a pair in a 1-2-3 eighth inning.
