AMARILLO, TX – The Springfield Cardinals (10-1) used a four-run 5th inning and got strong pitching from Alex Cornwell and Ian Bedell as the Cards got back in the win column with a 5-1 victory over the Amarillo Sod Poodles (3-8) on Wednesday night at Hodgetown. Cornwell picked his first win of the season allowing just one run over 5.0 IP while Bedell picked up his first career save with four innings of shutout ball.
