DES MOINES, IA (August 14, 2026) - Mother Nature didn’t cooperate on Friday night at Principal Park. With well over two inches of rain in the Des Moines area over the last 24-hours, and rain continuing through the night, the St. Paul Saints and Iowa Cubs were postponed due to rain. The two teams will make it up as part of a doubleheader on Saturday with Game 1 beginning at 4:08 p.m. Game 2 will begin approximately 30 minutes at the conclusion of Game 1 and both games are scheduled for seven innings.
The Saints send LHP Kendry Rojas (2-0, 3.72) to the mound against I-Cubs RHP Grant Kipp (1-0, 7.18) in game one. In game two the Saints go with RHP Trent Baker (3-3, 5.40) against I-Cubs LHP Josh Fleming (4-6, 3.16). Both games can be heard on KFAN Plus, 96.7 FM presented by Northland Ford Dealers.
