Hello friends, I hope you're doing well and doing your part. As we've reached two months of staying at home and away from the ballpark and game we love, I wanted to give our great fans an update on where the Ports stand on May 20.

We all want Ports baseball and life to return to normal as soon as possible, and the best way for that to happen is for everyone to keep staying home and remaining physically distant but emotionally connected.

Be safe everyone, and see you soon at Banner Island Ballpark!

Q: How long can we expect the 2020 MiLB season to be suspended?

A: The MiLB office is working in the coordination with the Major League Baseball (MLB) to provide clubs the most up-to-date information related to the 2020 season, when players will report, and when it’s safe to host games and fans again. We’re following the guidelines instituted by the Centers of Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), which instituted a cancellation of gatherings of 10 or more people.

Q: I purchased tickets for this season, what can I do?

A: Any ticket purchased for the Ports 2020 season or the California League All-Star game are eligible to be turned into credit valid during the 2020 or 2021 season. Contact the Ports Front Office for more information.

Q: Who makes the decision if the season gets delayed or canceled?

A: MiLB/MLB

Q: Will there be games at all this season?

A: The Ports remain hopeful to play games at some point this season when we can do so safely. The Ports will continue to relay information to our fan base as soon as we receive updates from MiLB/MLB on the status of the Ports 2020 season.

Q: What does “indefinitely postponed” mean?

A: Since we don’t have an official start date due to COVID-19, indefinitely postponed means postponed until further notice.

Q: Will the All-Star Game be in Stockton in 2021?

A: The 2021 host city has not been announced yet. We would like the opportunity of hosting this game in the future.

Q: Since the All-Star Game is canceled, what happens to the rest of the 2020 Ports season?

A: The rest of the Ports 2020 season remains postponed but has not officially been canceled. We are awaiting word from MiLB and the Cal League on when it is safe to start our season.

Q: Can we visit Banner Island Ballpark and the Dock Shop?

A; We understand that fans are excited about the season and want to load up with new Ports gear, however with the health and safety of everyone in our community being the priority our offices, box office and the Dock Shop are CLOSED for the time being. Online shopping is still available and encouraged at https://ports.milbstore.com/.
