August 18, 2016

CORPUS CHRISTI - Baseball Factory's National Tryout returns to Whataburger Field on Sunday, October 30.

The College Prep session starts at 8 a.m., and the National Tryout begins at noon. The morning session costs $399, while the afternoon session is $99, both of which include expert evaluation in hitting, fielding, throwing (pitching), and running by a staff comprised of former collegiate and professional players, coaches, and scouts.

Open to high school players ages 14-18, Baseball Factory National Tryouts are conducted at approximately 100 locations around the U.S. each year. After evaluation, accepted players are placed in an appropriate player development program.

Players also have the chance to qualify for additional Baseball Factory playing opportunities in places like Omaha, Neb. (College World Series site), Bradenton, Fla. (Pittsburgh Pirates Spring Training), and Mesa, Ariz. (Chicago Cubs Spring Training).

Baseball Factory's goal is to help high school players find the best-fitting college program. The organization has assisted over 100,000 high school players in bridging to college and counts 5,000 drafted players and 400 major leaguers as alums.

Former Hooks who've gone through the Baseball Factory program include Andrew Aplin, Erik Castro, Chris Epps, Tyler Heineman, Jordan Jankowski, Zach Johnson, Justin Maxwell, Joe Sclafani, George Springer, Max Stassi, Jason Stoffel, Nick Tropeano, Preston Tucker, and Austin Wates.
