NBT Bank Stadium opened in 1997 and seats approximately 11,000 fans. A $25 million renovation completed around 2021 modernized the fan experience -- this included replacing all original seats, adding a new entry plaza, expanding the Metropolitan Club, and installing "four-top" tables and drink rails for a more social atmosphere. The stadium is known for its "open architecture," allowing fans to stay connected to the game even while standing in concession lines. It features a natural grass surface and traditional dimensions (330 feet to the corners, 400 feet to center).
The stadium includes The Metropolitan Club, a high-end banquet space for large groups and events, as well as the Hank Sauer Room, a dedicated restaurant space named after the former Syracuse Star and MLB MVP.
NBT Bank Stadium includes a free Family Fun Park behind the right-field wall and artificial grass "berms" for relaxed, blanket-style seating. The park replaced the legendary but aging MacArthur Stadium. It has seen several name changes over the years—originally P&C Stadium and later Alliance Bank Stadium—before NBT Bank took over naming rights in 2013. While it primarily hosts baseball, it has occasionally served as a venue for major concerts (including Bob Dylan and Dave Matthews Band) and soccer.

NBT Bank Stadium serves as a centerpiece of Syracuse’s deep-rooted baseball history, standing on the site of the former MacArthur Stadium and functioning as the Triple-A home for the New York Mets. Following a major renovation spurred by the Mets’ acquisition of the team, the ballpark features modern amenities like an expansive upper deck, the Metropolitan Club banquet space, and the 315 Bullpen Bar. The fan experience is deeply tied to local culture, offering regional staples like Hofmann hot dogs, salt potatoes and Utica Club beer, alongside the presence of the unique orange mascot, Scooch. Beyond the diamond, the stadium’s location offers easy access to Syracuse landmarks like the New York State Fairgrounds and the historic Dinosaur Bar-B-Que, making it a key destination within a New York-centric MiLB itinerary.
NBT Bank Stadium offers a mix of ballpark classics and local favorites across several specialized stands. Fans can enjoy staple items like Hofmann hot dogs, hamburgers and Pavone’s Pizza, alongside more unique offerings like Scooch’s BBQ (featuring brisket and pork nachos in souvenir helmets) and local Recess Coffee. The stadium also prioritizes dietary variety through the Taste NY Cart, which serves vegetarian and vegan options like black bean burgers and pierogies, and provides gluten-free buns at major stands upon request. For beverages, the park features several dedicated spots including the Jim Beam Whiskey Barrel Tavern for signature cocktails and the -196 Pub & Grub, which anchors "Fizzy Fridays" with rotating craft beers and canned cocktails.
The stadium is a cashless venue that opens its gates 65 minutes before first pitch and enforces a strict clear bag policy, as well as a ban on smoking and vaping. Fans can enjoy a variety of specialized seating and social areas, such as the 315 Bullpen Bar, artificial grass berms, and the peanut-controlled Section 200, alongside diverse food options and weekly promotions like Dollar Thursdays and Taco Tuesdays. The guide also outlines essential guest services, including accessible seating and parking, a "no re-entry" rule, and detailed procedures for rainouts, lost and found, and first aid. Learn more
