The way Ella Parker performed during her freshman season at Oklahoma in 2024 set the bar for her future. She took the field in 58 contests and appeared in every game, soon becoming the team’s top hitter. Parker batted .415 and stole 31 bases for the team, while also contributing 62 RBIs and 13 home runs. In high-pressure situations, she hit .429. She had multiple hits in 22 games and drove in runs on 15 different occasions. She was recognized as a third-team NFCA All-American and earned Softball America Freshman All-America awards. She was one of the top three candidates for the TUCCI/NFCA Freshman of the Year and was named the Most Outstanding Player at the Big 12 Tournament. During the Women’s College World Series, she hit .381 and drove in five runs, including one home run, as Oklahoma won their fourth consecutive NCAA title. She had been on a nine-game hitting streak when she reached the NCAA Regionals. To begin 2025, she had a 15-game streak, hitting safely for 11 consecutive games that carried over from 2024. On February 28, she achieved her 100th hit of her career. Her average of .574 in the first 19 games was the highest for an OU player since 2017.
