COMSTOCK PARK, Mich. (March 13, 2025) - Walk, or carefully run, to check out the new foods coming to LMCU Ballpark this summer!
“The Fan Food Vote is always so much fun. It gets our fans’ creative juices flowing and it excites our team as it signals baseball season is just around the corner,” said Whitecaps Director of Marketing, Ben Love. “We are thrilled to announce that the 2025 winner is the Walking Southern Porkie, submitted by Ashley Perkins.”
The Walking Southern Porkie – A Southernly twisted walking taco, this bag of corn chips is bursting at the seams with pulled pork, slaw, crispy fried onions, and smothered in BBQ sauce. All you need is a forkie to eat this porkie!
In addition to the Walking Southern Porkie, you’ll find a variety of new, delicious food and beverage items including, but not limited to:
- Fire Roasted Flank Steak Rice Bowl: A home run concessions item last year, the rice bowls are getting an additional protein option as tender, juicy flank steak is added to the menu.
- Popcorn Galore: Three fun flavors of this ballpark staple will be added to the menu, including Pentwater Caramel Corn, Crash’s Jack, and Rainbow Crunch.
- Beer City, U.S.A.: The ballpark remains a hub for unique craft beers, further enhanced with the addition of the new Founders Cap Room on the third base side, where you can find Founders Mortal Bloom and Founders Michigan Pilsner. An ongoing partnership with Black Calder Brewing will see their Dope Boy IPA on draft at the ballpark. And the Mitten Craft Clubhouse will now also feature the Mitten Brewing West Coast Swing.
The Whitecaps plan to announce more food and beverage additions in the lead-up to Opening Day, Friday, April 4, at LMCU Ballpark against the Dayton Dragons. Tickets for the 2025 season are on sale now at whitecapsbaseball.com.
