COMSTOCK PARK, MI - When you think of baseball, you think of hot dogs, homeruns, and the sweet sound of organ music. This season the West Michigan Whitecaps are bringing back a tradition like no other; a live organist at the ballpark!
We will be searching for a game day organist who can entertain and perform at Fifth Third Ballpark this year.
"This will be our 25th season and we wanted to bring back a ballpark favorite," says Matt Hoffman Whitecaps Promotions Manager. "We're looking for someone who can play the favorites and include their personal style in the game." The organist will be asked to play several songs throughout the game which may include; Take Me Out to the Ballgame, Star Spangled Banner, and other stadium favorites.
Auditions will be held on March 3 starting at 10:00 a.m. Those interested can apply here and are encouraged to bring a variety of songs they can perform.
The Whitecaps open their 25th season on Thursday, April 5 against the South Bend Cubs at
6:35 p.m. Season and group tickets are now on sale; individual tickets will go on sale this Tuesday, February 20th. Complete 2018 schedule and ticket information, including season and group ticket prices and perks, is available at www.whitecapsbaseball.com.
