Wind Surge Baseball Kicks Off May 11th 

The Wichita Wind Surge (AA-Twins) will take the field at Riverfront Stadium for the first time in history on Tuesday, May 11th, as they host the Amarillo Sod Poodles (AA-Diamondbacks) for Opening Week of their inaugural season.

After starting the season on the road on May 4th in Springfield, the Wind Surge return home to face the Sod Poodles for a six game series, after the team’s Riverfront Stadium debut was postponed for over a year due to the cancellation of the Minor League Baseball 2020 season. Tickets for all Wind Surge home games are now on sale at windsurge.com, including socially distanced pod seating in Section 3 for all games.

Note: Gates will open 2 hours before game time for all six games of Opening Week.

Tuesday, May 11 – Gates open at 5:00/First Pitch at 7:05pm

Opening Night 2021

Be at Riverfront Stadium for the first game in Wind Surge history! Gates open at 5:00 and fans are encouraged to come early to explore the ballpark and enjoy the atmosphere of Opening Night.

Commemorative Ticket Giveaway

All fans who enter the gates will receive a commemorative Opening Night ticket to memorialize the first Wind Surge game at Riverfront Stadium.

Magnet Schedule Giveaway

As fans exit the gates after the game, they will receive a 2021 Wind Surge magnet schedule, courtesy of Spectrum Paint.

Wednesday, May 12 – Gates open at 5:00/First Pitch at 7:05pm

Wind Surge Wednesday

Fans receive ½ price berm tickets to Wednesday’s game when they present their Dillons receipt showing a donation to Dillons Zero Hunger Zero Waste program at the Wind Surge Box Office.

Thursday, May 13 - Gates open at 5:00/First Pitch at 7:05pm

Thirsty Thursday

Enjoy Half Price 16oz. cans of Modelo, Corona, Corona Premier and Truly, as part of Thirsty Thursday presented by Corona. Thirsty Thursday beverages available at the Corona Cantina, as well as select concession and portable stands throughout the stadium.

Inaugural Season Baseball Giveaway

The first 2000 fans through the gates will receive a 2020 Inaugural Season Baseball Giveaway, commemorating the first season that could have been.

Saturday, May 15 – Gates open at 4:00/First Pitch at 6:05pm

Cap Giveaway

The first 2000 fans through the gates will receive a 2020 Inaugural Season Baseball Cap Giveaway, courtesy of Coca-Cola, commemorating the first season that should have been.

ICT Saturday

Show your Wichita pride & celebrate all things ICT at the ballpark as the team takes the field in special red jerseys, and we recognize some of the people and organizations that make Wichita great.

Sunday, May 16 – Gates open at 11:00/First Pitch at 1:05pm

Post-Game Kids Run the Bases

Kids ages 3 to 12 are invited to take the field and run the bases following the game on Sunday afternoon. Please listen for PA announcements during the game with instructions on where to line up following the final out.

Per MLB policy, masks will be required for fans at Riverfront Stadium this season at all times, unless eating or drinking in your designated seating area.
