Woodbridge, VA - The Wilmington Blue Rocks (19-21) and the Potomac Nationals (19-20) were suspended Thursday night at Pfitzner Stadium due to lightning in the area. The Blue Rocks were leading 1-0 in the top of the fourth inning after Cody Jones laced a two-out triple in the second inning

Woodbridge, VA - The Wilmington Blue Rocks (19-21) and the Potomac Nationals (19-20) were suspended Thursday night at Pfitzner Stadium due to lightning in the area. The Blue Rocks were leading 1-0 in the top of the fourth inning after Cody Jones laced a two-out triple in the second inning to score Wander Franco. LHP Cristian Castillo tossed three scoreless innings to begin the ballgame and racked up five strikeouts.

The game will be made up in part of a doubleheader at Frawley Stadium next week when Potomac comes to visit Wilmington for a four-game series from May 26-29. Tickets are available by visiting www.bluerocks.com or calling the box office at 302-888-2583.
The Blue Rocks begin the second-half of their longest road trip of the season when they visit the Frederick Keys to being a four-game series on Friday, May 19. First pitch is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. at Nymeo field with LHP Foster Griffin (3-2, 3.48 ERA) climbing the hill for Wilmington while Frederick counters with RHP Cristian Alvarado (2-3, 8.04 ERA). Fans can listen to the game as Matt Janus will have the call on 89.7 WGLS-FM.
