"A DASH OF INDEPENDENCE DAY": The City of Winston-Salem and the Winston-Salem Dash are proud to present "A Dash of Independence Day" at BB&T Ballpark on July 4. The fun begins at 4:30 p.m. and concludes with Winston-Salem's official Fourth of July fireworks show, presented by the City of Winston-Salem, following the Dash's 6:30 p.m. game against the Down East Wood Ducks.
BB&T Ballpark will partially open at 4:30 p.m., with fans having access to the Foothills Brewpen and Kids Zone located in the outfield. Local band Stereo Dolls will be performing on the patio from 4:30-6:30 p.m., and the pregame festival will feature Food Trucks, free balloon animals & temporary patriotic tattoos made available. The entire ballpark will open at 5:30 p.m. in advance of the Dash game. Both paid and free parking will be available throughout downtown, and all of these locations will be less than a half-mile from BB&T Ballpark's entrance.
THIRSTY THURSDAY: Select beers will be available for only $1 during our Thirsty Thursday, presented by Lowes Foods, on Thursday, July 5!
FIREWORKS FRIDAY: Enjoy a spectacular fireworks show following Friday's contest against Down East, presented by PTI Fly Easy.
CHICK-FIL-A FOUR PACK NIGHT: For as low as $32 on Saturday, July 7, fans can receive four tickets, along with four Dash hats and four chicken sandwich vouchers redeemable only at the Chick-fil-A at Thruway Shopping Center. This deal must be purchased in advance by calling 336-714-2287.
KIDS RUN THE BASES: Kids can run the bases after the Dash's games on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday! Kids Run the Bases is presented by New Balance Winston-Salem.
FAMILY SUNDAY: As part of our Lowes Foods Family Sunday, children who are 12 and under will receive a free bag of popcorn and free access to our Kids Zone! Also, two Dash players will sign autographs on the concourse before the game.
LATIN AMERICAN JERSEY DAY: The Dash will wear Winston-Salem Rayados jerseys on Sunday, July 8, as part of the launch of Copa de la Diversion, or Fun Cup, an event installed by Minor League Baseball that specifically designed to embrace the culture and values that resonate most with the local Hispanic communities.
ABOUT THE WOOD DUCKS: Down East, the High-A affiliate of the Texas Rangers, finished the first half of the season with a 35-35 record, good for third in the Southern Division and six games behind the Dash.
