Alumni Winter League Update: January 30, 2023

Winter Leagues are heading into the home stretch with the Australian Championship Series coming up this weekend and the Caribbean Series starting on February 2.

Australia finished their semifinal series over the weekend with Alex Hall’s Perth Heat moving on to the Finals after a win over a Timber Rattlers-laden Brisbane club. Braden Webb was on the mound to get the final out for Mayaguez in the clinching game of the Championship Series in Puerto Rico to move on to the Caribbean World Series. The only Championship Series left to be decided in in Venezuela with Orlando Arcía and JC Ramirez’s Caracas club needing a win tonight in Game Six against La Guaira at home to win a title. Game Seven would be tomorrow if La Guarira wins. Both games are in Caracas.
