D-backs recall Burgos, Stites & Drury from Aces

RENO - The Reno Aces (@Aces), in conjunction with the Arizona Diamondbacks (@Dbacks), have announced right-handed pitchers Enrique Burgos and Matt Stites (@matt_stites), along with infielder Brandon Drury, have been recalled by the D-backs.

Burgos, 24, pitched in 15 games with the Aces and was 0-1 with a 6.00 ERA. He converted five saves in seven opportunities. In 15 innings, Burgos racked up 23 strikeouts.

Stites, 25, was 1-1 with a 3.86 ERA in 23 games with the Aces. He covered 25 2/3 innings and converted three of four save opportunities.

Drury, 23, hit .331 (83-for-251) with 43 runs scored, 25 RBI, 26 doubles, 2 home runs and 21 walks in 63 games with Reno. Since being transferred from Double-A Mobile on June 23, Drury is among PCL leaders in doubles (1st), hits (2nd), runs (5th), extra-base hits (28 - 5th) and average (7th).

Burgos and Stites have prior stints with the D-backs, while Drury will be making his Major League debut. It will make 23 players who have played with both the Aces and D-backs this season.

Corresponding moves have not been announced at this time.
