The Reno Aces have a STRICT clear bag policy for all games and events held at Greater Nevada Field. The clear bag policy was created and implemented to ensure the safety of the fans. Find out more info about our clear bag policy below!
Each ticketed fan is allowed to bring in one (1) clear bag and/or a small clutch purse and one (1) clear unopened bottle of water. The following bags will be permitted at Greater Nevada Field:
- Bags that are clear plastic, vinyl or PVC
Or
- One-gallon clear plastic freezer bag (Ziploc bag or similar)
And
- A small clutch purse, no larger than 4.5" x 6.5", the size of the palm of your hand, with or without a handle or strap
*Please note that all types of bags and clutch purses will be screened prior to entry into the stadium. Diaper bags are permitted in regardless of size, will be tagged upon search, and guests must be accompanied by their babies… All bags and purses not meeting the requirements set forth by the clear bag policy will not be permitted to enter the ballpark this year.
Fans carrying required medical supplies or devices into the stadium are not subject to the clear bag policy but will be required to go through the bag check lines setup.
How does the policy improve public safety? The clear bag is easily searched and significantly reduces bag searches. It also supports the Department of Homeland Security’s “If You See Something, Say Something” campaign.
What can I do to get into the ballpark before first pitch? Arrive early, know which items are prohibited and avoid bringing a bag if at all possible. Gates open one hour before first pitch.
How many bags may each person bring into the ballpark? One large clear bag - either a one-gallon Ziploc style bag or the 12"x6"x12" clear bag - plus a small clutch (the size of the palm of your hand) that does not exceed 4.5" x 6.5". The small clutch allows privacy for small personal items and is easily searched.
What about diaper bags? Diaper bags are permitted regardless of size, will be tagged upon search, and guests must be accompanied by their babies.
Do I have to put everything I’m carrying into the permissible bag? No. Fans are limited only to the type of bags carried into the ballpark, not items that they may normally bring to a game that fit in pockets or clutch bags (e.g. keys, makeup, feminine products, combs, phone, wallet, credit cards). Fans may carry binoculars and/or A camera around their necks or in their hands without a case. Fans may also use the clear bag and clutch to carry these items and other permissible items. In all cases, carried items are subject to search.
If I have certain items that I need to bring into the ballpark for medical reasons and they won’t fit in the clear bag, what do I do? Fans carrying required medical supplies or devices into the ballpark are not subject to the clear bag policy but will be required to go through the bag check lines
Are all purses prohibited? No. Small clutch purses, with or without a handle or strap, that do not exceed 4.5" x 6.5’ (the size of the palm of your hand), are permitted along with either the 12" x6"x 12" clear tote bag or the one-gallon freezer bag. Fans are encouraged not to bring any bags, but the policy has been created to balance fan needs with improved safety and convenience.
Does this bag policy apply to credentialed individuals (e.g., media & working staff)? Credentialed media must enter through the Security corridor and show credentials at the 24/7 Security office. Media bags will be permitted; however, those bags will be searched and must remain with the credentialed individual throughout their stay at Greater Nevada Field. Only bags that pass inspection will be allowed inside the ballpark.
What happens if I show up at the gate with a bag that is not permitted? Fans carrying bags that do not comply with the Clear Bag Policy will be asked to return their bags to their vehicle and transfer their belongings to an approved clear bag before entering Greater Nevada Field. Clear bags are available for purchase at the team shop, if fans do not bring one.
Can I bring a non-clear bag if it fits inside the approved clear bag? No. The only permitted non-clear bags are small clutches no bigger than 4.5" x 6.5" into an approved clear bag to bring into the ballpark, but you may not place the entire non-permissible bag itself into a clear bag.
Where can I purchase a clear bag that meets the Reno Aces’ Clear Bag criteria? Bags can be purchased in the Aces Team Store.
What if I do not have a bag or any items that need to be checked by security? Guests who do not bring a bag to the ballpark will be able to bypass the check-in tables.
I have a question regarding the clear bag policy. Is there someone I can talk to? Yes, please call the Greater Nevada Field Box Office at 775-334-7000.
