#NuggsForCarter To Throw Out Ceremonial 1st pitch

Reno, NV. - As of May 9, 2017, his quest for 18 million retweets and a year's supply of free Wendy's chicken nuggets was complete. Carter Wilkerson, a Reno, Nevada native, made Twitter history - setting the Guinness world record for most retweeted photo of all time. Wilkerson began by asking the Wendy's Twitter account how many retweets would get him a year's worth of chicken nuggets. Wendy's responded with a ridiculous number of 18 million, and #NuggsForCarter exploded.
Although Wilkerson did not reach the 18 million goal Wendy's had originally set, the Battle Born youth did surpass Ellen DeGeneres' uber-popular Oscars selfie. Wendy's deemed that enough and awarded him the coveted nuggets. 

Carter was helped along by super stars from around the country. Governor Sandoval displayed his support of Carter with a tweet calling out fellow governors. Victoria Secret model Martha Hunt, Breaking Bad star Aaron Paul, and Ellen DeGeneres reached out in support. Even national corporations like United, Linkedin, Apple Music, and Amazon jumped on board.
"How has it taken this long for us to appreciate one of the World's favorite foods," Said Eric Edelstein, President of the Reno Aces. "Carter is a hero to us all and let's join together in celebration of the nugget."
The Reno Aces will recognize Wilkerson on Saturday, May 27 when the team takes on the Sacramento River Cats. Any fan that catches or retreives a foul ball during the fourth inning will receive FREE chicken nuggets at concession stand one. Fans will receive a coupon from guest services with proof of baseball. Additionally, various in-game promotions will be chicken nuggets inspired.
