RENO, Nev. -Jack Reinheimer and the Aces offense put up six runs to defeat the Sacramento River Cats Sunday night by a score of 6-5. Reinheimer finished 3-for-4 on the night, his most hits in a game this season. Diamondbacks number one prospect Anthony Banda got the nod for interim manager Greg Gross. Banda tossed 7.2 innings, his season high while allowing four runs on five hits. The southpaw took home the winning decision, moving his record to 5-2 on the season. Jake Barrett came in and slammed the door in the top of the ninth to pick up his second save of the season.

In the bottom of the fourth inning, the Aces got into the scoring column. Oswaldo Arcia got the inning started with a leadoff walk. Jeremy Hazelbaker drew the second walk of the inning off of San Francisco Giants farmhand Tyler Beede. Jack Reinheimer and Zach Borenstein drilled back-to-back RBI-doubles to give Reno the 3-0 lead.
Again the Aces would score three, this time in the bottom of the sixth inning. Hazelbaker, Reinheimer, and Borenstein notched three consecutive hits plating two. Ronnie Freeman added the third run on a fielder's choice to third baseman Ryder Jones.
Defensively for the Aces, Anthony Banda was in cruise control for most of the game. In his first four innings, the lefty faced the minimum twelve batters. Banda set his season high in innings pitched with 7.2. Just before he exited, Banda was tagged for four runs - one in the seventh inning and three in the eighth. Last night's winning pitcher Matt Stites got the final out of the eighth inning, but not before allowing a two-out RBI-double. Closer Jake Barrett allowed one hit, walking two in the ninth inning, but closed the ballgame with a strikeout against Wynton Bernard.
The victory tonight brings the Aces to a record of 32-19, good for first place in the Pacific Northern division. Left-hander Erik Jokisch will get the start for Reno tomorrow. He will face right-hander Joan Gregorio (2-4, 3.02). The first pitch is slated for 1:05 PM. Season memberships are on-sale now at www.renoaces.com or by calling (775) 334-4700.
