(AKRON, OHIO) September 23, 2021– The Akron RubberDucks encourage fans attending Friday’s Game 3 of the Double-A Northeast Championship Series to make plans to arrive early to navigate traffic and road closures associated with the Akron Marathon events in downtown Akron.

The Canal Park gates open at 5:05 p.m. Friday to allow fans to enter the ballpark early. Fans are encouraged to be in their seats by 5:45 p.m. for pregame ceremonies. First pitch is set for 6:05 p.m. against the Bowie Baysox in the Championship Series presented by Brennan Manna Diamond.

With the Akron Marathon Kids Fun Run taking place at 6:00 p.m. Friday, roads around the ballpark, including S. Main St., Exchange St., and Bowery St. will be closed for a period of time that evening. Fans should also be aware of the following road closures as they arrive at and depart from the ballpark Friday evening:

· S. Main St. CLOSED between Mill St. and Buchtel St., beginning at 8 a.m. Friday, Sept. 24

· S. Main St. CLOSED between Exchange St. and University Ave., beginning at 4:30 p.m. Friday, Sept. 24

· S. Broadway St. CLOSED between E. Mill St. and E. Market St., beginning at 6:30 p.m. Friday, Sept. 24
