Schedule of Events

The Akron RubberDucks are committed to making the 2021 Campout at Canal Park a fun and unique experience for everyone. For this night to be safe, we must ask that you read the Tentative Schedule below and the Rules and Regulations on the following page very carefully. These rules and regulations are required in order to ensure the preservation of the playing surface at Canal Park and, more importantly, the safety of all participants.

The schedule and rules must be followed completely - no exceptions.

Anyone failing to abide by these rules will be removed from Canal Park immediately - no exceptions.

July 23rd, 2021

Step 1: Leave camping gear and anything you are keeping overnight in your car.

· Absolutely no camping equipment will be allowed in Canal Park before the end of the game.

Step 2: Receive Tickets and Additional Campout Materials

· Tickets bought on Group Matics for July 23rd can be printed off at home or brought up on your phone to be scanned into the game. If unable to print or bring up on phone, please stop by any of our Ticket Offices with your ID to receive your tickets.

· Meal vouchers, campout wristband, tickets to Sunday, August 8th and those who did purchase tickets through Group Matics can pick up everything from a group will call table outside our Summa Health Gate before the game on July 23rd.

o Wristbands will allow campers to re-enter the stadium and allow you onto the field to set up camping equipment. Absolutely no one will be allowed to re-enter or go on the field without a wristband.

Step 3: Game Time

· Enter gates and enjoy all of what we have to offer.

Step 4: Post Game

· RubberDucks Win! At least we hope…

· Diamond Ball

· Fireworks

· Immediately following the fireworks on July 23rd (average game time: 3 hours), all campers MUST exit Canal Park, retrieve their camping equipment from their vehicles, then wait to be readmitted into the stadium at the Summa Health Gate (near corner of Buchtel Avenue and Main Street)

o Campers will have 45 minutes after the final out of the game to retrieve their equipment from their car and re-enter Canal Park. Within 60 minutes of the conclusion of the game, all gates will be locked in order to ensure the safety of participants and the preservation of the facilities. Please make sure everyone in your group exits the stadium immediately after the game to avoid delaying re-entry for all campers.

· Once inside, proceed to the concourse area behind Section 6 or Section 20 and await further direction from RubberDucks Staff.

Step 5: Set Up and Activities

· Once at Section 6 or 20, please await the final word from our staff before heading onto the field to set up your camping area.

· During this time, we will have a whiffle ball home run derby in right field, the Fun Zone on the concourse in right field will be open and free to all Campout participants.

· Meal Vouchers can be exchanged at Taters Concession Stand before the start of the movie.

· Movie will begin after all tents are set up.

Step 6: Lights Out and Rise and Shine

· Lights will be dimmed during the moving and will be turned off completely at the conclusion of the movie.

· All campers must exit Canal Park no later than 8:00am the next morning (Saturday). A wake-up call will ensure that all campers are awake in time to exit by 8:00am.

· Please make sure you clean up your camping area. Do NOT leave any trash on the field! Trash cans will be placed on the field to assist you in cleaning up your areas.

Step 7: Sunday, August 8**th**, 2019

  • Please come out and enjoy the game, All campers will be recognized in the form of a shout out during the game!

Rules and Regulations

For every 10 youth campers in your group, there must be 2 adult supervisors (i.e., Troop Leader or parent)

*Absolutely no camping equipment will be allowed in Canal Park before the end of the game. *

Absolutely no one will be allowed onto the field without a wristband.

• Upon entering Canal Park with camping equipment, there will be no exiting until the next morning (unless there is an emergency situation).

• All camping equipment must be placed in the designated camping area in the outfield.

• Campers must remain on the outfield surface throughout the evening. However, restroom facilities on the concourse will be left open and available for use the entire night.

• No one other than Canal Park Staff or security personnel will be allowed in any Canal Park offices (unless there is an emergency).

Absolutely no equipment or people will be allowed on the infield.

No cooking equipment of any kind will be allowed.

Absolutely no open fire/flames.

No Bug Spray may be used while on the grass. When applying, you must be in the seating bowl or on the concourse.

No cooler or karts with wheels will be permitted on the field, unless they are being carried.

Staking of tents WILL NOT be allowed.

No weapons or any sharp objects/equipment will be allowed. This includes pocket knives, axes, saws, or any item with a blade.

• Sprinkler heads will be clearly marked and are to be avoided.

• All campers must follow the direction of RubberDucks Staff and any security personnel. Anyone not following direction will be removed from Canal Park immediately.

• Campers will be allowed to bring coolers with beverages and/or snack foods to the Campout following the RubberDucks game. NO FOOD OR BEVERAGES WILL BE ALLOWED IN CANAL PARK DURING THE GAME (per E.L. Rule Article XX Section 19).

• Absolutely no glass containers of any kind will be allowed in Canal Park following the game.

All campers must exit Canal Park no later than 8:00 am the next morning (Saturday, July 23**rd**). Campers will be allowed out the main Canal Park gates behind section 9 by RubberDucks Staff.

• No drugs or alcohol maybe consumed during campout.

• All campers must comply with the instructions provided through the public address system.

• All campers, adults and minors, shall comply with and obey all laws, regulations and orders established by the City of Akron and the Akron RubberDucks.

The Akron RubberDucks greatly appreciate your cooperation in abiding by the rules and regulations set forth. With your help, Campout at Canal Park will remain a fun, safe and memorable event for everyone.
