Isotopes Fall Again to Chihuahuas

The first place Chihuahuas (52-44) continue to distance themselves from the Isotopes (45-50), defeating Albuquerque by a score of 8-2 on Tuesday evening at Isotopes Park. Albuquerque is now 6.5 games behind El Paso in the Pacific Southern Division.

With the loss, the Isotopes have dropped eight of their last nine games.
Brett Oberholtzer took the loss for the Isotopes, falling to 4-8 on the season. The southpaw allowed six runs (five earned) on seven hits over his 6.0 innings on the mound.
Relievers Shane Broyles and Keith Hessler each tossed a scoreless inning out of the bullpen while Austin House surrendered two runs during his inning on the bump.
El Paso connected on four home runs during the contest as the Isotopes pitching staff now leads Minor League Baseball with 138 home runs allowed.
At the plate, the Isotopes offense struck out 14 times and left 10 on base.
The Isotopes look to right the ship on Wednesday night when the club turns to Jeff Hoffman to toe the rubber. First pitch from Isotopes Park is set for 6:35 p.m.
