The Colorado Rockies have promoted top prospect Brendan Rodgers to the Albuquerque Isotopes. One of the most highly regarded up-and-coming talents in all of baseball, MLB.com ranks Rodgers as the Rockies number one prospect and sixth overall in Minor League Baseball.

Rodgers, 21, slashed .275/.342/.493 with 42 extra-base hits, 17 home runs and 62 RBI in his 95 games for Double-A Hartford in 2018. The Winter Park, Fla. native moves on from Double-A ranking second in the Eastern League in total bases (176) and third in both extra-base hits and RBI.
The shortstop has represented Team USA in each of the past two MLB Future's Games and has been selected as an All-Star four times over his four-year professional career.
Rodgers was the Rockies' first round selection (third overall) in the 2015 MLB First-Year Player Draft, taken one slot behind Albuquerque native Alex Bregman and two behind Braves' shortstop Dansby Swanson.
