Maria Valentyn, a Milwaukee area native, is in the midst of her seventh season of Minor League Baseball. She joined the Sky Carp as the VP - Entertainment in April 2021, after spending the last four years out East in marketing roles within Minor League Baseball, including the last two as Director of Sponsorship Services with the Lehigh Iron Pigs, the Phillies’ AAA affiliate.
Join the Beloit Sky Carp and First National Bank and Trust Company on Wednesday, August 31 for a FREE luncheon centered on Women in Baseball. Not only will you enjoy an excellent spread of food, you'll also have an opportunity to hear from a panel of Sky Carp, Marlins, and First National Bank and Trust women on their experiences as women in male-dominated industries and their paths to success
Doors for the luncheon open at 11:30 AM with the panel beginning at 12:00 PM. Sky Carp Vice President of Entertainment, Maria Valentyn, will moderate the Q&A session and then open it up for questions from the audience. The event will conclude at 1:00 PM.
The women on this panel, including a representative from First National Bank and Trust Company, come from a variety of backgrounds and work in vastly different roles within baseball.

Gracey McDonald joined the Beloit Sky Carp in September of 2021 as the Event Sales Manager. A native of Pensacola, Florida, Gracey attended the University of West Florida and graduated with a degree in hospitality and resort management and a minor in sports management. She began her career with the Pensacola Blue Wahoos in 2019 as the Season Ticket Member Concierge, then shifted to manage 5eleven Palafox, a local wedding venue in Pensacola, FL. In her free time, you can find Gracey with her two dogs or spending time in beautiful downtown Beloit.
Jessica Cook, a Conyers, Ga. native, joined the Marlins organization prior to the start of the 2022 season after working as the graduate assistant trainer at the University of North Georgia.
Colleen joined the Miami Marlins as an intern in their community outreach department in 2018. She then secured a full-time position as the team's Education and Service Specialist. In her current role as Manager of Player Care and Service, Colleen oversees the creation and implementation of a professional development curriculum covering a range of subjects, including, social media, financial literacy, domestic violence, diversity, equity, and inclusion, social justice, etc.
Jessica is an experienced Vice President with a demonstrated history of working in the banking industry. She is skilled in Sales, Team Building, Employee Training, and Project Implementation. Jessica received her Bachelor of Business Administration (B.B.A.) focused in Business Administration and Management, General from Northern Illinois University - College of Business.
