DON'T CALL ME JUNIOR: The Milwaukee Brewers announced that 2017 Opening Day starter Junior Guerra is scheduled to join the Shuckers on a rehab assignment starting on Monday...the righty was 9-3 with a 2.81 ERA for the Brewers last year...he suffered a right calf injury on Opening Day and has not pitched in a live game since...in addition, on Sunday the Shuckers sent infielder George Iskenderian to Rookie-Helena and activated catcher Natanael Mejia from extended spring training.
IF YOU BUILD IT...: Saturday night's crowd of 5,227 was the highest of the 2017 season and fourth-highest in the history of MGM Park...in 16 openings this season, the Shuckers are averaging 2,906 fans, up from a 2,692 average in 2016.
AGAINST THE BRAVES: The Shuckers are 23-22 all-time against the Braves, including 10-10 at MGM Park...the Shuckers also went 3-2 in five games as the "home" team at Trustmark Park in 2015.
