HAGERSTOWN, MD - Former Gamecock Dom Thompson-Williams roped two home runs as part of a four-hit afternoon and the Charleston RiverDogs rolled to a 12-9 victory over the Suns to snap a four-game skid on Sunday afternoon from Municipal Stadium.
As a team, the RiverDogs (17-19) scored a season-high 12 runs, just their second time eclipsing double digits on the season, while also pounding out a season-best 15 hits, using their biggest offensive performance to win their first game of the road trip and even the series with Hagerstown (11-25).
Thompson-Williams collected his first multi-home run game of his professional career while going 4-for-6 with three extra-base hits in the first four-hit performance of the season for a Charleston batter. The South Carolina product had just three pro homers over his first two seasons, all at the Short Season level.
The former garnet and black outfielder's first fly was a solo shot to right field that put the Dogs up 1-0 in the first with one out.
After Hagerstown hung a five spot in the second, the Holy City batted around for seven runs in the third, their largest single inning of the season to take an 8-5 lead they would not relinquish. Second baseman Oswaldo Cabrera roped his second home run in as many days, but never should have come to bat in the inning. Reliever Andrew Lee fielded a ground ball on his first pitch of the night and threw it away with the bases loaded to help the RiverDogs score three unearned and keep the inning going.

Thompson-Williams touched off for his second home run of the game in the fifth, a three-run shot to center that made it 12-5, Charleston's largest lead of the day.
Hagerstown chipped away with single tallies in the sixth and seventh and plated two in the eighth before Julio Mosquera turned to reliever Chad Martin, a product from nearby Damestown, Md., with the bases loaded and one out. The University of Delaware righty struck out Branden Boggetto and coaxed a ground out of Jake Scudder to hold the lead at 12-9 before picking up his first save with a scoreless ninth.
Right fielder Steven Sensley went 3-for-4 and eight of nine RiverDogs collected hits in the offensive parade.
The 21 combined runs and 26 hits between the two teams both were season-highs, eclipsing Saturday night's totals in the rain-shortened six-inning affair.
