RiverDogs 14th Annual Run Forrest Run 5K Crosses the Finish Line

Nearly 500 participants took part in race benefiting MUSC Shawn Jenkins Children's Hospital

CHARLESTON, S.C. - The Charleston RiverDogs Run Forrest Run 5K Race presented by Fleet Feet Sports wrapped up this past Saturday as nearly 500 participants ran for a great cause, benefitting the MUSC Shawn Jenkins Children's Hospital.
"Thanks to all who participated in this run for a great cause," said RiverDogs Special Events Director Kristen Wolfe. "This was one of our most successful 5Ks to date, and we couldn't have done it without our large group of participants and sponsors. It was a fun way to celebrate Memorial Day weekend out at Joe Riley Park."
Participants in the 14th annual edition can view their times online following the link here. Benjamin Eddy of Summerville finished with the best overall male time, crossing home plate at The Joe in 16:36.17. Abigail Altman finished with the best female time, completing the race in 18:35.99.

The RiverDogs would also like to thank all participating sponsors of the Run Forrest Run 5K: Fleet Feet Sports, Orange Theory Fitness, Waxing of Charleston, Mary Kay Cosmetics, R U Running, Raising Canes, Cici's Pizza, Grit Box Fitness, Andolini's Pizzaand ACM Photography.

The RiverDogs continue their homestand tonight, starting a three-game series with the West Virginia Power on Monday night at Riley Park at 7:05pm. It's a Memorial Day Monday Dog Day presented by Apex Broadcasting as fans can bring their pup to the ballpark and enjoy dollar beers and hot dogs courtesy of Busch Light.
