RELIEF PITCHER: DEUNTE HEATH

RHP Deunte Heath made the most appearances by any Charlotte Knights pitcher during the last decade. Over the course of those 118 appearances, Heath posted a 15-12 record with eight saves and a 3.19 ERA. The native of Atlanta, GA tossed a total of 279 innings and recorded 300 strikeouts over that span.

Heath signed with the Chicago White Sox on April 22, 2010 and made his way to the Knights in 2011. He appeared in the most innings that season on the team (102.2) and split time as a starter and a reliever. Overall, he made 30 appearances with the team and compiled 117 strikeouts.

A season later, Heath was a solid contributor to the Knights and their postseason run. He made 36 appearances with the team in 2012 and posted a 4-3 record with three saves, 74 strikeouts, and a 1.48 ERA in 67 innings pitched.

In 2013, Heath had another stellar season out of the Charlotte bullpen. Appearing in 30 games, Heath posted a 2-1 record with four saves and a 2.20 ERA. Overall, he led the team in games finished (19), was second in games pitched (30), and was tied for second in saves (4).

Heath had one more solid season with the Knights in 2014. Appearing in 22 games, Heath posted a 5-1 record with a 3.22 ERA. He struck-out 73 batters over 64.1 innings pitched.

Heath is second all-time in Charlotte Knights franchise history in strikeouts (300), third in games pitched (118), and is tied for fourth all-time in ERA (3.19).
