OUTFIELD: DAYAN VICIEDO

In 2010, Dayan Viciedo made his way to Triple-A and appeared in 86 games with the Charlotte Knights. At the age of 21, Viciedo quickly produced with the Knights. The talented prospect compiled a .274 batting average with 94 hits, 42 runs scored, 15 doubles, 20 home runs and 47 RBIs in just 86 games. He made his major league debut that season with the Chicago White Sox, but was back with the Knights a year later.

Viciedo spent the majority of the 2011 season with the Knights and put together a remarkable season. He hit .296 with 134 hits, 60 runs scored, 28 doubles, 20 home runs and 85 RBIs in 119 games. For his efforts that season, he was an International League Mid-Season and Posteason All-Star. He was also recognized by MiLB.com as an International League Player of the Month in May and he was an MiLB.com Organizational All-Star. Additionally, Viciedo took part in the MLB Futures Game.

In 2013, Viciedo was honored by the Knights and named to the All-Knights Stadium Team for his efforts in two seasons at Knights Stadium in Fort Mill, SC.

He went on to post solid numbers with the Chicago White Sox in 2012, 2013, and again in 2014. Over the course of those three seasons with the White Sox, Viciedo hit .254 (425-for-1,675) with 200 runs scored, 73 doubles, seven triples, 66 home runs and 211 RBIs over 483 games.

After stints in the Toronto Blue Jays and Oakland A’s organizations early in the 2015 season (after being designated for assignment by Chicago) Viciedo returned to the Knights on August 1, 2015 when the White Sox signed him as a free agent. As he closed out the season with the Knights, Viciedo once again excelled with the bat. In 36 games, he hit a remarkable .341 (47-for-138) with 17 runs scored, seven doubles, seven home runs, and 20 RBIs.
