Chicago White Sox outfielder Luis Robert will continue his Major League Rehab Assignment and officially join the Charlotte Knights starting with tonight’s opener against the Jacksonville Jumbo Shrimp from Truist Field. First pitch is set for 7:04 p.m. from Uptown Charlotte on Tuesday, July 27.

Robert began his rehab stint with High-A Winston-Salem on Wednesday, July 21 and appeared in four games with the Dash. The Cuban native hit .250 (3-for-12) with one run scored, one double and three RBIs. He is hitting .316 (30-for-95) with 11 runs scored, nine doubles, one triple, one home run, eight RBIs and four stolen bases in 25 games this season with the White Sox.

The 23-year-old is currently on the Chicago White Sox 60-day Injured List with a right hip flexor strain. He won an American League Gold Glove Award during his rookie campaign in 2020.
