Big Inning Lifts Great Lakes to 8-3 Win over Dragons

The Loons led by only one run when the game was delayed by rain for 42 minutes in the bottom of the seventh inning. After the game resumed, Great Lakes scored five times in the inning, keyed by a grand slam home run by Heyer, as they took command of the game.
After the Loons took a 2-0 lead in the second inning on Heyer's two-run homer, the Dragons responded with a two-run top of the third to tie the game.

Great Lakes loaded the bases with no one out before the game was delayed by rain. After it resumed, they pushed their lead to 4-2 on a bases loaded walk, and Heyer broke the game open with a grand slam home run to make it 8-2.
Michael Siani hit a solo home run with two outs in the ninth inning for the Dragons to close out the scoring. The homer was Siani's second of the season.
